Beyond the Watchtower
Light flickers
in the mansion on the hill.
I slip out of grammar

Departures.

I correct my body
until I no longer recognise myself.
A pickup truck—
weathered blue.
The engine is running.
Complicit.
Wolves in us.
Get in—
